Die of Death Dash
The premier mobility ability in Die of Death. Dash provides a quick burst of speed that helps Civilians escape chases and reposition during critical moments.
Synergies
Dash stands at the top of Die of Death ability tier lists for good reason. This movement ability provides the most reliable escape tool available to Civilians, with an 8-second cooldown that rewards smart timing over spam usage. Every competitive Civilian deck considers Dash either as a primary or complementary pick.
The ability activates instantly, propelling your character forward in the direction you are facing. Unlike Adrenaline which provides sustained speed, Dash covers distance immediately, making it ideal for breaking line of sight around corners and through doorways. Expert players save Dash until the Killer commits to an attack animation, maximizing the distance gained.
On maps with tight corridors like The HQ and Temple, Dash creates opportunities that no other ability matches. The Killer must completely re-establish chase after a well-timed Dash, giving your team precious seconds during timer phases. In the final 1 minute 15 seconds when you are the last Civilian, Dash becomes your most valuable asset.
Dash synergizes powerfully with Cloak for a double-layer escape strategy. Dash away from the Killer, then immediately Cloak to break tracking entirely. Caretaker users can heal you during the brief window after Dash while the Killer repositions.
Against Killdroid specifically, Dash timing must account for Target Lock. Break line of sight before the lock completes, as Dash used after locking provides less value when Plasma Shot can track your trajectory.
