Die of Death Fashionably Late Update

Fashionably Late is the largest update in Die of Death history, officially released on July 11, 2026 at 8:30 PM GMT. Over a year in development, this update overhauls the Lobby, adds Civilian customization, introduces new abilities, reworks every active map, and removes all Forsaken collaboration content.

Civilian Customization

Players customize their Civilian for the first time with skin tones, proportions, faces, T-shirts, keychains, and profile backgrounds. Ability gear colors can be recolored. See our full Customization hub and customization guide.

New Abilities: Bugle and Pie

Bugle — Musical support ability with a rhythm minigame that accelerates teammate cooldowns up to 2x. Pie — Throwable utility that debuffs Killer UI or protects teammates. Pie + Hotdog creates the SweetTooth synergy. Read individual guides: Bugle and Pie.

Killdroid Rework

Detonate replaced with Propel — a forward jump and dive-punch explosion. Deploy now places up to 5 Killbots that auto-shoot the nearest Civilian. Badware and Harken received model remodels. See the updated Killdroid page.

Map Changes

All maps except Glasshouses received full reworks: Grandma's Backyard, Temple, Baseplate, The HQ, Tundra Trench, and Teapot Paradise. Glasshouses removed due to Forsaken collaboration ending. Augury Exhibition added as new original map. Browse all maps on our Maps hub.

Lobby and Shop Overhaul

Redesigned Lobby with library area, Disco Room, revamped Shop, new emote wheel with DanBox previews, achievements system, and expanded settings (keybinds, audio, profile preferences).

New Skins and Content

Five new Killer skins confirmed: Meatwad (Pursuer), Thinkware (Badware), Peeled (Artful), Crescente (Harken), Tankdroid (Killdroid). Multiple existing skins redesigned including Bling Pursuer, Loveware, Swapful, and Eggdroid. Special kill effects and reworked death animations added.

Upcoming Content

Featured in-game runs for Fashionably Late content conclude around July 28, 2026. Two new Killers are teased for a post-Fashionably Late update.
