Die of Death Controls & Settings
Mastering Die of Death controls is essential for both Killer and Civilian roles. This guide covers every keybind, Lobby interaction, and settings option available in the Roblox game.
Basic Movement Controls
Die of Death uses standard Roblox PC controls for movement and camera:
- W / A / S / D: Move forward, left, backward, right
- Mouse: Look around and control camera direction
- Space: Jump
- Shift: Sprint (consumes stamina unless modified by abilities or Gamemodes)
- Left Click: Primary action / Killer attack
Ability Keybinds
Each Civilian selects one ability deck with two abilities at round start. Ability keys are displayed in the in-game HUD during matches. Killers have four fixed abilities with dedicated keybinds shown on screen. There is no universal ability key — each ability assigns to a specific slot visible in your UI.
Emote Controls
Press G on your keyboard or tap the emote button on mobile to open the emote selection wheel. Die of Death offers 5 emotes: Dance, Squingle, Gangnam Style, Tornado, and PBJ. Emotes work in the Lobby and during matches for communication and expression.
Lobby Buttons
The Die of Death Lobby provides access to key game features through dedicated buttons:
- Shop: Purchase Killers with Points and browse available skins
- Settings: Configure game modes, accessibility, and gameplay preferences
- Spectate: Watch ongoing matches when waiting for the next round
- Credits: View developer credits and contributor information
Settings Guide
Die of Death includes several important settings that affect gameplay experience:
- Kind Mode: Disables the Evilness system so you will not be selected as Killer based on Evilness score. Enable this if you prefer Civilian-only gameplay.
- Epilepsy Mode: Reduces flashing lights and visual effects. Essential for Evil Scary Gamemode and players sensitive to strobe effects.
- AFK Mode: Prevents being kicked for inactivity while in the Lobby. Useful during long queue times.
Mobile Controls
On mobile devices, Die of Death provides a virtual joystick for movement, tap buttons for abilities, and an on-screen emote button equivalent to the G key. Mobile players can access all the same features as PC players through the touch interface.
Tips for Control Optimization
Practice ability timing in Default Gamemode before entering special modes like Double Trouble or Gunslinger. Learn your selected Killer or Civilian ability keybinds during the first 30 seconds of each round. Enable Epilepsy Mode before your first Evil Scary round. Use Kind Mode if you are new and want to focus on learning Civilian survival without worrying about Killer rotation.
