Die of Death Cloak
Cloak renders the Civilian invisible for a short duration, breaking Killer tracking and enabling stealth repositioning.
Synergies
Cloak provides the stealth option in Die of Death's Civilian ability roster. When activated, your character becomes invisible to the Killer for a limited duration, forcing them to rely on audio cues and prediction rather than visual tracking. This S-tier ability defines the stealth archetype in Civilian gameplay.
Effective Cloak usage requires breaking line of sight before activation. Cloaking in open areas provides minimal value since the Killer knows your approximate position. Instead, Dash around a corner then immediately Cloak, moving silently to an entirely different map section while the Killer searches your last known location.
Harken's Blood Hunt directly counters Cloak by revealing stealthed players. Against Harken, save Cloak for after Blood Hunt goes on cooldown or when the Killer is engaged with another Civilian. Killdroid's Target Lock also reduces Cloak effectiveness if activated before going invisible.
In team scenarios, one player using Cloak can draw Killer attention while teammates complete objectives or revive downed players. This sacrificial playstyle works well in Default Gamemode with full 8-player Civilian teams.
Cloak pairs with Caretaker for a sustain strategy where you stealth away from danger, receive healing, then re-engage when abilities reset. This cycle frustrates Killers who cannot maintain pressure on invisible targets.
Tips
